Sona is a duo of acoustic elements for sound absorption. Inspired by tensile structures, the
panels form an organic, abstract landscape
- sculptural yet functional.
Created in response to the Open Call of the International Office at the University of Applied
Arts Vienna, the dotted patterns depict the partner universities of the Angewandte, where students
may apply for exchange: one element represents
the European map, the other the international map.
Each piece consists of a strongly elastic textile stretched over a wooden framework and layered
with sound-absorbing fleece.
